The aSK

I was tasked to redesign an e-commerce site that wasn’t user-friendly. I chose en.stylenanda.com because the brand has a lot of great products and accompanying photos, but the site as a whole was not very user-friendly. There was too much focus on design and too little on usability. I had to recreate a home page, a product page and a product landing page.

the answer

1 - Home Page

2 - Product Page

3 - Product Landing Page

I used Sketch to redesign the prototype of the three pages. I chose to have clearly defined segments on all three pages to create a system for their expansive catalog. They have a lot of nice products and I wanted to show that sleek design can be just as informative. Instead of burying the page with photos on top of photos, creating an endless scroll, I decided that employing Javascript for the photos would be more ideal. The home page would have swipe elements, the product page would have expansion elements and the product landing page would have hover elements. Though the system is more conventional of an e-commerce site, I believe the muted color palette enhances the design embedded in their images.
